Today, living without the Internet seems unthinkable to us, when long ago it was unthinkable to be able to do everything we do online.
It is true that there are already many points where we can connect without problems to the Wi-Fi networks that offer us so much, restaurants, bars, street kiosks, public centers, and a long etc., but... what happens when a message appears? message on your device that says “cannot connect to a Wi-Fi network”?
Well, don't panic, it's not that hard.
Solution to the error Cannot connect to a Wi-Fi network
Go to Settings (you know the gray gear-shaped icon) and click on General.
On the next screen, slide your finger until you find Reset and on the screen that appears with the letters in blue, click on Reset network settings.
As you know, by Resetting network settings it will delete all the networks that you have saved on your iPhone or iPad, so it notifies you with another screen so that, if you are not sure, you can think about it. In the same way, if you have an access code activated, it will ask you to enter it.
Now wait for your device to fully reboot.
Once restarted, go to Settings>Wifi and try to connect to that network that you couldn't before.
As we indicated previously, this reset deletes all the Wi-Fi networks that you had saved and their settings, so you will have to enter them again manually.
If you still can't join a Wi-Fi network, do the following:
Go to Settings>Wifi and click on the "i" of information of the network that you want to omit.
Once inside, you just have to click on Skip this network and in the pop-up window that will appear, click Skip again.
Now all you have to do is manually re-include the Wi-Fi networks that you had saved on your devices.
It is very difficult to know why we cannot connect to a specific Wi-Fi network, but if it ever happens to you, at least you know that you have a couple of options to connect. And if you have no choice but to connect to that network and you have to Reset the settings, we emphasize that you will lose all the networks you had saved on your devices and their settings.
Has it ever happened to you? Were you able to connect once the network was restored?
