How to see the Wifi passwords saved on the iPhone or iPad

Did you know that you can see the Wifi passwords that you have saved on your iPhone or iPad?

For example, imagine that you go to the university or work and you have a password to connect to the Wi-Fi network, then you go to a bar where there is also Wi-Fi to have a "snack" and you also have another password, later you go to eat and There is also Wi-Fi in the restaurant. Another password! And you save all of them on your devices.

From iPhoneA2 we want to show you a Cydia tweak with which you can see all those passwords in case you forget one, but for this you have to have a jailbreak done.

If you have it done, you only have to install a Cydia tweak called Wifi Passwords on your device.

See the Wifi passwords saved on the iPhone or iPad.

The first thing you have to do is go to Cydia, click on the magnifying glass that you will see in the lower right part of the screen and search for and install the Wifi Passwords tweak.

download wifi passwords

It will create an icon on the desktop of your device.

click icon wifi passwords

Now you only have to click on the icon and all the passwords of the Wi-Fi networks that you have been saving on your iPhone or iPad will appear. (We for obvious reasons have hidden them).

If you click on the icon in the upper right part of the screen that has a rectangle shape with an arrow sticking up, a little screen will open in which you will see three options: Send by mail, Copy all or Cancel.

send mail wifi passwords

We find these functions interesting because if you want to have them saved in an email, you can send them to yourself, or if you decide to Copy them all, you can include them in a Word document and also save it on your PC, for example.

We believe that it is a Cydia tweak that can be very useful if you are one of those who, either for work or studies, need several Wi-Fi passwords depending on where you are and for whatever reason you have forgotten one.

Personally I will tell you that when I downloaded the application I was surprised by the number of Wifi passwords that I had saved on my devices. I remembered some of them, but others…no idea! So we hope this tweak has been useful to you.

Do you think this tweak is useful? Have you ever been able to see all the passwords of the Wi-Fi networks that you have saved on your devices?

I have an iPhone 6 without jailbreak and I would like to see my Wi-Fi passwords. Are there any apps that allow me to do so?
    Thank you

Good morning Mercedes, I have an iPhone and I already use this Wi-Fi passwords App, and I like it, but now I also have an Android phone, do you know if there is a version for this system, since I would like to be able to check my passwords too. Greetings.

Hello Felipe. The app in the article is for jailbroken devices, not for Android. Anyway, I use 1Password (which is also for Android) and it does the same function as the one in the article, plus it's free. I'm doing great, I invite you to try it. This is the link for Android:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agilebits.onepassword&hl=es. We hope you like. Greetings!

This tweak is not compatible with iOS 8 yet, right? In case it's not supported yet, do you know if there is another tweak that does what this did and is compatible with iOS 8.1 on an iPhone 6?

Hello Lolo. You can try Wi-Fi2Me from the Modmyi repo, but I warn you that I haven't tried it yet. Greetings!.

Hello Jaime, I totally subscribe to the answer that my friend and colleague Diego has written to you and I recommend that you read the article that he recommends, since as he says, Jailbreak is a very personal decision.
On the other hand, if you decide to Jailbreak your device, I will give you the links to the articles that were published in iPhoneA2 where you can download the Pangu program for your iPhone and where we explain step by step how to do it. You'll see that it's very easy, but what I do recommend is that before playing anything, go to iTunes and make a backup, but that's it!!!
    The links are these:
    - Download program: https://iphonea2.com/descargas/firmwares-2/descargar-pangu-jailbreak-ios-7-1-12-mac/
    – Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2:https://iphonea2.com/2014/07/02/como-hacer-jailbreak-ios-7-1-2-con-pangu-en-mac-y-windows-tutorial/
If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to write to both Diego and me, we will try to help you in everything you need and of course, if you decide to do so, we would love to know how it went and what your experience is.
    Regards Jamie!

Hi Jaime, JailBreak is only necessary if you want to customize your iPhone or get features that Apple doesn't allow, it's a personal decision. While Merecedes gives you her opinion, you can take a look at our article in which we explain What is jailbreakmaybe it will help you...
