With each new update to the operating system of our Apple devices, what they want is to make things much easier for us, or at least they try.
In this new system update, iOS 9, one of the applications that has undergone the most changes has been Safari since, in addition to updating the application itself, they had to configure it to adapt to the new Mac operating system, El Capitan.
And as happens with all updates to any device, as a general rule, the ones who win are the users, which in fact is for whom they are directed.
You may have noticed that when you go to open a new tab in Safari, a series of icons appear that indicate the sites you have visited frequently.
And surely you are wondering why all those icons appear now. The answer is simple. In its desire to make things easier for us, Apple thought that in this way it would be easier for us to go directly to the pages or places where we have frequently browsed and thus not have to close Safari and go find the application that we want to open in that moment.
But since colors are for tastes, it could be that some of you do not like to see that screen full of icons every time you open a new tab in Safari, so let's see how it is eliminated.
Remove Frequent Sites in Safari with iOS 9
First, open Settings on your iPhone or iPad (you know, the gray cog icon).
Swipe the screen until you find Safari.
And finally, swipe again until you find the option Frequent sites.
As a general rule, when we update to iOS 9 this function is checked as standard, you just have to uncheck this option and you will have eliminated them.
In our case, if you look at the first image that we have included, we only have two icons of the sites that we have visited frequently, but we are sure that many of you, if you use your iPhone or iPad a lot to browse the internet and specifically for Safari, you will have many more.
So from now on, every time you open the Safari app you will have a cleaner screen with fewer icons on it.
Do the icons of the applications you use the most bother you when opening a new screen in Safari?
