How many times have you been put on hold for a phone call? To me many, especially if I call a number that has a switchboard or a technical service of something.
But do you know how to put someone's call on hold?
If you don't know it in iPhoneA2 we are going to explain step by step how to use call waiting and deactivate them.
How call waiting is used
In order to use call waiting, you'll first need to turn it on on your iPhone, so open Settings (you know, the gray gear-shaped icon).
Then click on Phone.
Swipe until you see Call Waiting.
On the next screen activate the Call waiting option. You will see that it turns green.
Well, now imagine that you are answering a call and another one comes in. A beep will sound or the same tone as your call. At that moment you will see three options. If you would like to put the second call on hold, tap Hold + Answer. The call will be put on hold until you can answer it.
If at that moment you want to talk to the person on the second call but without hanging up or ending the first one, click on exchange.
When you want to end one of the calls, tap End. You would only end up with the person with whom you are currently speaking, but you would continue to maintain contact with the other interlocutor.
And well, this is the way in which you can also leave other interlocutors on hold while you answer a call.
To be honest, I'll tell you that I had to look for the last three images on the internet, since at the time of writing this article I had no one to call me to be able to include images from my own device.
Disable Call Waiting
To deactivate call waiting is simple.
You must open Settings again.
Then click on Phone.
Now click on Call Waiting.
And now uncheck the Call waiting option by clicking on the tab on the right. It will stay white.
In this way you will no longer be able to put calls on hold, but if you can divert calls to another phone number so that it is not left unattended.
Have you ever put a call on hold? Have you done it this way?
