One of the outstanding features of the new iPhone 7 is your new Touch ID button, a button that is not really a button since it is integrated into the chassis of the iPhone 7. This depends on the engine Tap Engine that emits a vibration to simulate that you are touching a physical button (yes, cool).
This is much more noticeable when we have the iPhone 7 turned off, no type of button is visible, but when it is turned on as magically it reverts back to a normal "Home" button.
This is quite good because it takes an evolutionary leap in the iPhone and possibly Apple is preparing to integrate the "Home" button inside the iPhone 8 screen, but there is a problem that Apple has quickly solved. If the iPhone 7's capacitive Home button, or the Taptic Engine that powers it, fails, you'll no longer be able to use it, and with the number of times we tap that button throughout the day it's almost like not being able to use your iPhone until you go through the technical service.
To avoid this situation, Apple offers us a fairly simple solution, iOS 10 is capable of detecting a malfunction in the Home button, when it does, it will send us a warning like the one you see in the screenshot above and, automatically, it would activate a button for us. virtual home that will allow us to continue using our iPhone almost normally until we take it to repair.
How to activate the virtual button right now?
It's not exactly the same, but for years we've already had a virtual Home Button in iOS, it's included among all the AssistiveTouch options and many people use it on a regular basis to replace the physical button on iPhones prior to 7, and the iPhone 7 Capacitive.
The procedure to have this virtual button always active is quite simple, we just have to enter Settings from our iPhone, select "Accessibility" and check the box "AssistiveTouch". When we have it, the same button that we can find on the iPhone 7 will appear but from any iPhone model.
1º – We enter Settings, we are going to General admission and we go to Accessibility
2º Inside Accessibility we came in AssistiveTouch
3º We activate AssistiveTouch
4º Once activated we a round circle will appear on the screen that will imitate the "Home" button but with all these options every time we press it
As you can see, it is a fairly simple process and that will help us imitate the virtual "Home" button of the iPhone 7.
