5 things you can do with your iPhone that you didn't know about
We will learn 5 things that can be done with your iPhone to shortcut some aspects of life or be able to better solve some setbacks:
Use background sounds with our iPhone that help you sleep
If you have trouble sleeping or want to relax, you can play relaxing sounds, such as rain or the ocean, to cover up any ambient sounds you don't want to hear. You can choose between several sounds, but to do so, you must access:
- We came in Settings > Settings > Accessibility > Audio and visuals > Background sounds. Then activate this function.
- You can also use these sounds by entering from your control center. We look for the ear-shaped icon and thus access “Background sounds.”
After these steps, you can configure the following settings:
- You can choose your relaxing sound, from rainwater, stream, ocean, pink, white, brown noise... it will depend on your operating system.
- You can also adjust volume with the slider bar.
- When we are playing the content, we will adjust the volume of the background soundsor, while our iPhone is playing music or other multimedia content.
- The sound will stop playing when you jump to our locked screen.
We can level a painting with the help of our iPhone
Surely on more than one occasion you have needed to use the level, generally to place a picture or hang a shelf on a wall. With our integrated application we can save more than one trouble, thanks to its integrated sensors capable of measuring the difference in level.
Where can we find this gap?
Starting with Apple's iOS 13, we can find the level in the Measurements app. In the application screenYou can search for it through the search box. Or by sliding the screens to the left and to the end, to reach the App Library and searching “Size” in the search box.
In the iOS 12 system You can find it within the application "Compass". To discover said application, you can do so by following the steps above.
You can use the compass horizontally or vertically. You place the mobile phone on the ground or on a surface and you will see a line that crosses the screen along with the degrees of inclination. When it appears green it is because it is level. On the other hand, it can represent two circles, where the two circles must coincide to represent that it is level.
Create plans and models in three dimensions
Three-dimensional plans and models can be created just by using the camera of our device. This time, our system will have to download said application in our App Store. We are referring to Polycam – 3D Scanner, a powerful tool that uses the camera to identify walls, windows, openings, doors, etc.
FOR create a 3D plan. With this great utility, you can create house plans in a very short time, visualize the 3D layouts of a home or a house or even do it in objects.
Set limits on the use of certain apps and games
A user of this type of resources can set their own limits on the use of their device or certain applications. During this inactivity, you will not be able to access social networks, calls and have that rest you need. Or you can allow some type of à la carte activity.
- We came in "Settings" and we access "Use time".
- We played on “App and website activity”. Then we activate “App and website activity”.
- We choose "Inactivity time" and then we perform some of these functions: We access “Activate downtime until tomorrow” o “Scheduled to schedule a period of inactivity”.
Do you want to select a limit for app usage?
- We came in "Settings" and in "Use time".
- We access “App usage limits” and then we play “Add limit”.
- We select one or more categories of apps. You can schedule an application or select several apps categorized as a group.
- We touch "Following" in the upper right corner and then we apply the amount of time allowed. You can also customize the number of days.
- When we have chosen the limits, we touch "Add".
Recognize dangerous sounds and warn you
Our device can recognize certain sounds that may go unnoticed at some time of the day. A notification will be sent to let us know when it recognizes the sound we need to hear.
We came in Settings > Accessibility > Sound recognitions. We activate the “Sound recognition”.
We touch "Sounds" and we activate the sounds that we want our iPhone to recognize.
Do you want to add a custom alarm, appliance or doorbell?
We came in Settings > Accessibility > Sound recognition > Sounds.
We access in “Custom alarm” o “Home appliances or custom doorbell.” Next, enter a name.
We place the iPhone near the sound that is going to be played from the appliance or device so that it can record it.
We played on “Start listening” and follow the steps that appear on the screen.
